What is the difference between marathon and boulevard

The first and most obvious similarity between each of these models is that they all use the ClickTight Installation System that makes it super simple and easy to install your car seat. In addition to that, the Marathon, Advocate, and Boulevard are all manufactured with an Impact-Absorbing Base and Impact-Stabilizing Steel Frame that work together to offer superior strength and stability while also reducing the impact force caused by a collision.

The Marathon, Advocate, and Boulevard car seats are also equipped with a non-rethread, position, Quick-Adjust Harness System that can easily be adjusted as your child grows.

Lastly, each of these models has a high rear-facing weight limit of 40 pounds, and a forward-facing weight limit of 60 pounds. One of the major differences between the Britax Marathon, Boulevard, and Advocate car seats are the layers of side impact protection. The Marathon only has one layer, offering minimal yet high-quality support and protection. And, the Advocate is equipped with three layers of side impact protection, providing superior support and protection. Another notable difference between these models is their price.

The Marathon is the cheapest, which makes sense seeing as it only has one layer of side impact protection with minimal padding for child comfort and support. Although it has three layers of side impact protection, the Advocate is the second cheapest out of these models, and that can probably be attributed to its padding as well. In terms of price and padding, the Advocate perfectly fits between the Marathon and the Boulevard.

It uses a deep foam-lined, energy-absorbing shell to create a single layer of side impact protection to guard your child against the impact force of a collision. As an added measure of safety, the Marathon ClickTight is also equipped with a patented V-shape tether that secures the car seat in place and minimizes rotation and forward movement in the event of a crash. The Marathon ClickTight is also designed to grow with your child. It also features 7 recline angles and comes with an automatic level indicator to ensure that your baby rides in the safest and most comfortable position.

What makes the Britax Marathon ClickTight stand out is its simplistic yet high-quality design that earned a 5-star rating in both the rear-facing and forward-facing position. To make installing your car seat quicker and easier, the Britax Advocate ClickTight comes with a ClickTight Installation System that reduces installation to three simple steps.

In addition to that, the Advocate ClickTight is equipped with three layers of side impact protection, including an energy-absorbing shell, quick-adjust headrest protection, and side cushions. The Advocate ClickTight is engineered with an Impact-Stabilizing Steel Frame that greatly enhances strength and stability, and it has a patented V-shape tether that keeps the car seat in place and minimizes forward movement in the event of a car crash. Britax Marathon is a little lighter and weighs 27 pounds, as the other two weigh approximately 30 pounds.

Therefore, they can fit well in different sized cars. The Boulevard, more like a premium car seat, offers the best comfort for your baby as it comes with a roomy interior where your baby will have enough space to feel comfortable in it.

The shoulder area is wide, and the leg space is expansive for taller babies to sit comfortably. The Marathon is a little roomier than Boulevard and hence is a great choice if you have bigger kids on board. You can fit it alongside an infant seat and as a convertible car seat at the back. The Advocate is also roomier like the Marathon. And it has a higher seated shoulder height limit like the Boulevard. That means your child can enjoy the service of both the Advocate and Boulevard longer than the Marathon.

Comfort is everything when traveling with your baby. Britax has taken critical steps to ensure your kids enjoy every bit of the journey. Britax car seat boasts comfortable padding that includes layers of a high-density cushion on both sides. The plush padding is ideal for the delicate skin of small babies as the padding is of premium quality for enhanced comfort. Also, the no-thread harness of Britax car seats is soft and gentle on your child.

The Advocate offers a snug fit and feels secure since it has more padding than the Boulevard and Marathon. The Boulevard also has enough padding for a snug fit. The Britax Marathon has less padding, hence less comfortable as compared to the Boulevard and Advocate. In addition, the two seats offer less flexibility as compared to the Boulevard. In fact, the instructions are easy and straight-to-the-point.

The Clicktight is the most prominent feature since it ensures a perfect fit. Therefore, installation is a breeze since the latches are not as complicated as other models. Also, the closing and opening mechanisms are easy and straightforward. Like the Boulevard, the Clicktight feature of Marathon and Advocate also ensures that the seat buckles seamlessly on the latch system.

It also makes it easy to switch your car seat from the rear-facing position to a forward-facing design to accommodate your older child. This feature is handy for caregivers who take care of children of different ages. Finally, the installation process of Britax car seats is pretty similar. They all utilize the Clicktight technology, which features some easy-to-follow set-up processes depending on how you want to install the seat.

In either way, they are the easiest car seats out there to install. Cleaning for the seats is simple and easy since the manufacturer provides a detailed manual on how to take care of the seats.

The seat cover of the Britax is removable for a quick clean-up. If you have no problem with hand washing, you are less likely to complain about it. You can use normal detergent and water for cleaning. You can also clean the harness by detaching it from the car. Of course, kids can litter your car with crumbs or juice, and these may stick on the seat.

Simply wipe it off with a clean cloth. Overall, cleaning is hassle-free. Thankfully, there are various color options to consider when shopping for the Britax car seats. With lots of color options, you can pick one that suits your preference. When it comes to style, the choices are limited. There are two styles for each seat. You can choose either one. The frame of Britax convertible car seats is made of sturdy steel for stability and comfort.

Likewise, the shell is filled with foam on either side to protect against impact in case of a collision. Also, Britax models are some of the best on the market with enhanced body structures.

The Marathon with Clicktight and the Boulevard with Clicktight have even broader seated shoulder height limits :. You simply lift the front of the car seat, feed the seat belt through, and click the front of the seat closed. Make sure to read the directions thoroughly, and have your car seat installation inspected! The Anti-Rebound Bar is a new feature through Britax. It helps to stabilize the car seat when rear-facing, minimizing movement of the car seat if an accident were to occur.

Both the Boulevard and Marathon feature steel frames, a deep foam-lined shell, and an impact-absorbing base. These features make these seats incredibly safer than the baseline standard for car seats. One of my favorite features that both the Boulevard and Marathon have is a quick-adjust harness. On many car seats, you need to fully take the harness out of the back of the car seat and re-thread it through in order to adjust the harness height.

The Boulevard and Marathon feature a no re-thread harness, so with a quick squeeze and lift of the back of the car seat, your harness can be adjusted as your child grows.

The Boulevard and Marathon both have multiple recline positions. Another one of my favorite features on these Britax seats is the automatic level indicator.

If you are looking for a seat to air travel with, you may want to consider another car seat, or an additional traveling car seat. These are no fun to have to lug around. But, if you need a smaller car seat for twins or a compact vehicle, these are both pretty solid choices.

The main difference between the Marathon and the Boulevard is that the Boulevard has an additional layer of side impact protection.
